Niclas Ekenberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henry Benett. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Niclas Ekenberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Peter Ahlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Benett having to interfere. In the 16th match minute, Smålandsstenar IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Nyström to maneuver through the defense. Smålandsstenar IK's Henry Benett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johannes Strandberg in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th match minute, Billesholm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niclas Ekenberg to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute Peter Ahlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Benett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Egil Kihlberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Smålandsstenar IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Egil Kihlberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo Söder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bertil Ek during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Billesholm booed when Smålandsstenar IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertil Ek didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

52 minutes into the game, Arvin Drewitz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Hugo Söder was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Johannes Strandberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Henry Benett made a huge save. The tension between the Billesholm and the Smålandsstenar IK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Niclas Ekenberg hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Smålandsstenar IK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Billesholm had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
