The referee ignored Edsbruk's protests and gave Joachim Bergqvist a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Edsbruk's Joachim Bergqvist got a free kick in the 14th minute. Rune Morat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Håkan Holmgren having to interfere. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Pontus Larsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Kling, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute, Rune Morat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rune Morat might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Håkan Holmgren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rune Morat ran back to his position shaking his head. 62 minutes into the game, Rune Morat cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Håkan Holmgren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dennis Malmström during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Edsbruk:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ådalen Power:s goal. After having played for 71 minutes, Kurt Gullesson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rune Morat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Håkan Holmgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Joachim Bergqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kurt Gullesson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ådalen Power fully deserved thier win.
