Karl-Åke Bergren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrik Molander, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Busk in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karl-Åke Bergren saved Hemmingsmark IK from getting behind. Wilhelm Vestlund charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilhelm Vestlund the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 16th minute, Daniel Busk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Henrik Molander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Henrik Molander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Karl-Åke Bergren was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henrik Molander in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karl-Åke Bergren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 28 minutes into the match, Vinninga FF's Daniel Busk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karl-Åke Bergren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Busk in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karl-Åke Bergren saved Hemmingsmark IK from getting behind. Daniel Busk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Busk kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Joakim Smefeldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hemmingsmark IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Joakim Smefeldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ian Pihlgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 41st match minute, Vinninga FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrik Harlén to maneuver through the defense. Karl-Åke Bergren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Busk in the 44th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Busk was the one to do the kick off. After 57 played minutes Hemmingsmark IK got a freekick which was hit by Wilhelm Vestlund. Eric Fribäck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Pihlgren having to interfere. Henrik Molander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Vinninga FF's zone, Eric Fribäck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ian Pihlgren came out of the goal and Eric Fribäck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Henrik Molander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vinninga FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Henrik Molander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl-Åke Bergren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ian Pihlgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Fribäck in the 73rd minute of play. In the 80th minute, Patrik Linquist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Henrik Molander could shoot a difficult shot in the 82nd minute, which Karl-Åke Bergren however easily saved by the left post. After 86 minutes of play Hemmingsmark IK's Patrik Linquist was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 85 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hemmingsmark IK! The goalkeeper, Karl-Åke Bergren, was totally fooled by Vinninga FF's Torsten Kleen, who 88 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Busk kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Karl-Åke Bergren. That made the score 0-2 in the 93 minute of play. 97 minutes into the game, Hemmingsmark IK's Joakim Smefeldt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ian Pihlgren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2.
