Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Olle Eklund got the match started through his kick off. Kennet Olofsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Holger Söderqwist fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. After having played for 27 minutes, Kennet Olofsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eriksberg FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kennet Olofsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vidar Melberg made a kick off. Genevad were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Eriksberg FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dennis Harlén took the corner. After 57 minutes, Kennet Söderström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Genevad and the Eriksberg FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Genevad's Kennet Söderström got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 61st minute, Vidar Melberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jack Sjö was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. A collision led to Genevad getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Kennet Söderström hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Genevad's zone, Carl Ekeberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dick Ekman came out of the goal and Carl Ekeberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dick Ekman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kennet Olofsson in the 70th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ture Åkesson during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 72 played minutes Genevad got a freekick which was hit by Ture Åkesson. In the 74th minute, Stig-Åke Kilstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olle Eklund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
