Ledbergs IF's Folke Kock managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jan-Erik Bremming in the 10 minute of the game. Sven Wiman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the game, Johan Frisk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Latikberg FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ledbergs IF the free kick. If Sven Wiman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ragnar Carlberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven Wiman in the 23rd minute of play. Latikberg FK's Ragnar Carlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andréas Karlsson in the 25th minute of play. Egil Hansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sivert Åkerman having to interfere. Magnus Dahlgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ragnar Carlberg having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Folke Kock during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Latikberg FK booed when Ledbergs IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Folke Kock didn't get a good kick on the ball. Latikberg FK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Sven Wiman scored to the left of an out of position Ragnar Carlberg, making the score, 1-2. The supporters of Ledbergs IF booed when Latikberg FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven Sandström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Magnus Dahlgren was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute of the match, Egil Hansson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sivert Åkerman saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ragnar Carlberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magnus Dahlgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ledbergs IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven Wiman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th match minute, Latikberg FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerry Strömberg to maneuver through the defense. Sivert Åkerman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Johan Frisk in the 69th minute. Sven Wiman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Ragnar Carlberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Jerry Strömberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sivert Åkerman. The goal made the score 1-3. Sven Wiman struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Ragnar Carlberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ledbergs IF. Latikberg FK's Ragnar Carlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magnus Dahlgren in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Latikberg FK had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
