The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute of the match Wilhelm Alin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Birger Ekegren skillfully saved the ball. Rosersberg's Birger Ekegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kjell Brandin in the 7th minute of play. After 8 minutes, Robert Kjellberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rosersberg and the Manchester United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th match minute, Rosersberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Kjellberg to maneuver through the defense. Manchester United's Birger Levander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Örtendahl in the 12th minute of play. Ivar Jakobsson had several of the Manchester United's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 24 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Birger Levander as he didn't even see the shot coming. Ivar Jakobsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Birger Levander made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivar Jakobsson in the 45th minute. 47 minutes into the game, Rosersberg's Ivar Jakobsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Birger Levander made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Robin Åberg made a kick off. Robin Åberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birger Ekegren having to interfere. Kjell Brandin hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, Mikael Lange hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivar Jakobsson took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Birger Levander. Birger Levander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. When Robert Kjellberg was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 82 minutes had been played. After 83 played minutes Rosersberg got a freekick which was hit by Robert Kjellberg. Kjell Brandin succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-2 in the 87th playminute. In the 97th match minute, Manchester United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jörgen Berggren to maneuver through the defense. Rosersberg's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
