Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Birger Levander stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rolf Widberg's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. The audience was convinced that Arne Hedkvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Birger Levander was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Manchester United's zone, Rolf Widberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Birger Levander came out of the goal and Rolf Widberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th match minute, Rengsjö was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vilgot Grep to maneuver through the defense. Rolf Widberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birger Levander having to interfere. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Manchester United's goalkeeper Birger Levander, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Birger Levander didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rolf Widberg went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Birger Levander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolf Widberg in the 33rd minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Rolf Widberg came free, but Birger Levander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rengsjö's Arne Hedkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rolf Widberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Robin Åberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Edward Ahlin hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Robin Åberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 63 minutes, Kjell Brandin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kjell Brandin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rolf Widberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arne Hedkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Birger Levander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rengsjö's Rolf Widberg got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robin Åberg in the 75th minute of play forced Rengsjö's goalkeeper Niclas Stålman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 78 minutes, Kjell Brandin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kjell Brandin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rolf Widberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Birger Levander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolf Widberg in the 84th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Rolf Widberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arne Hedkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birger Levander having to interfere. After 96 played minutes Manchester United got a freekick which was hit by Jens Westerstrand. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Rolf Widberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rengsjö's supporters rose to their feet, but Rolf Widberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Birger Levander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
