Gustaf Lundberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt Wiman in the 6th minute of the match. Erik Magnusson kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Uno Carlberg during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Linneryd booed when Stöpen FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uno Carlberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Mats Wallander was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stöpen FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Linneryd the free kick. Melker Alström's late challenge caught a Stöpen FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Melker Alström helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 played minutes Linneryd got a freekick which was hit by Melker Alström. Gustaf Lundberg stood somewhat misplaced when Josef Tidén came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 22 minute. The supporters of Linneryd booed when Stöpen FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uno Carlberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Bernt Bergström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jerry Svanér. Stöpen FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernt Bergström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. If Josef Tidén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bengt Wiman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Linneryd defense, Josef Tidén kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gustaf Lundberg. The Linneryd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gustaf Lundberg should have stopped the shot. Gustaf Lundberg acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 47th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Robert Helström. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Josef Tidén was the one to do the kick off. Gustaf Lundberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josef Tidén, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Melker Alström was shown his second yellow card after 52 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 53 played minutes Linneryd got a freekick which was hit by Melker Alström. 54 minutes into the match, Stöpen FK's Bengt Wiman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gustaf Lundberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Linneryd's Sverker Stigsson got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59th match minute, Stöpen FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Magnusson to maneuver through the defense. Gustaf Lundberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josef Tidén, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute Bengt Wiman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustaf Lundberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Linneryd's Gustaf Lundberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt Wiman in the 65th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Josef Tidén in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustaf Lundberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sverker Stigsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerry Svanér having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Stöpen FK's Bengt Wiman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gustaf Lundberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 83 played minutes Stöpen FK got a freekick which was hit by Bengt Wiman. 85 minutes into the match, Linneryd's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt Wiman came free, but Gustaf Lundberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Josef Tidén ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gustaf Lundberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. In the 93rd match minute, Stöpen FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henry Kock to maneuver through the defense. If Josef Tidén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Stöpen FK fully deserved thier win.
