After a defensive mix-up in Dals Rostock IF's zone, John Hedlund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven-Oskar Delin came out of the goal and John Hedlund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Petersson in the 20th minute of play forced Dals Rostock IF's goalkeeper Sven-Oskar Delin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rasmus Bergström succeeded in the game's 23rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. Gunnar Tomasson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rasmus Bergström in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Dals Rostock IF's Rasmus Bergström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gunnar Tomasson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dals Rostock IF's Alvar Viklund got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sven-Oskar Delin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Petersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Kinnarumma were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christian Petersson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Dals Rostock IF booed when Kinnarumma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urban Åström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sven-Oskar Delin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Christian Petersson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Sven-Oskar Delin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Urban Åström kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Dals Rostock IF's Sven-Oskar Delin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Petersson in the 79th minute of play. Kinnarumma played a much better game than Dals Rostock IF and deserved their victory. The Dals Rostock IF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
