Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Harry Ödmann made the kick off and thus started the match. Sten Busk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Torbjörn Karlberg fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Free Derry's protests and gave Torbjörn Karlberg a yellow card for diving instead. If Harry Ödmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Harry Ödmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Free Derry's supporters rose to their feet, but Harry Ödmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gert Gallberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 18 played minutes Free Derry got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Jonsson. Magnus Lindgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mårten Julin in the 20th minute of the match. Sten Busk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Magnus Lindgren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. After 30 minutes of play, Herrljunga's Mårten Julin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Magnus Lindgren was left in no man's land by his defense there! Magnus Lindgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sten Busk in the 35th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sten Busk in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Magnus Lindgren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Magnus Lindgren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mårten Julin's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Free Derry's goal looked a bit too open when Sten Busk came free, but Magnus Lindgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sten Busk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mårten Julin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sten Busk to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Busk in the 53rd minute of play forced Free Derry's goalkeeper Magnus Lindgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herrljunga's Sten Busk got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, Harry Sjögren notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Herrljunga's Gert Gallberg. Gert Gallberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 71 played minutes Free Derry got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Jonsson. Sten Busk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magnus Lindgren having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Free Derry's zone, Sten Busk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Magnus Lindgren came out of the goal and Sten Busk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Busk in the 82nd minute of play forced Free Derry's goalkeeper Magnus Lindgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sten Busk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute Sten Busk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magnus Lindgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
