When Georg Heggert fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Älvsered RK's protests and gave Georg Heggert a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Älvsered RK's Georg Heggert got a free kick in the 10th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vilhelm Kvist couldn't finish the play. Herbert Bock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gottfrid Boman having to interfere. Patrik Hermansson had several of the Elakålarna FF's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 19 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Gottfrid Boman as he didn't even see the shot coming. Adrian Kielberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Siggman in the 24th minute of play. If Christian Siggman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Herbert Bock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Gottfrid Boman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Gottfrid Boman managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Älvsered RK's Patrik Hermansson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Älvsered RK's Herbert Bock got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Elakålarna FF's goal looked a bit too open when Georg Heggert came free, but Gottfrid Boman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christian Siggman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Sven-Edvin Eskilsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Elakålarna FF and the Älvsered RK players grew even worse after the yellow card.
