After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Mikael Lund managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC STARS's supporters rose to their feet, but Mikael Lund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Östen Frykberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Östen Frykberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carl Söderström in the 8th minute of the match. A collision led to Gomez BK getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Bror Clementsson hit a great ball. After 17 minutes FC STARS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ove Säfström who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Ove Säfström got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vidar Högberg quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Benjamin Lidman charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benjamin Lidman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Benjamin Lidman hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Hjalmar Holmgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Gomez BK's Östen Frykberg got control of the ball when Mikael Lund tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th minute, Mikael Lund reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Östen Frykberg. The goal made the score 1-0. Östen Frykberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carl Söderström in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36th match minute, Gomez BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orvar Låsberg to maneuver through the defense. Mikael Lund struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Östen Frykberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC STARS. A hard shot 39 in the game by Mikael Lund from a close distance when the talented Östen Frykberg managed to make a qualified save. Gomez BK's players were relieved. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Hjalmar Holmgren made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, FC STARS's Vidar Högberg got control of the ball when Viktor Johansson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 56 minutes of play, FC STARS's Carl Söderström made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Östen Frykberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 60th match minute, FC STARS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carl Söderström to maneuver through the defense. Hjalmar Holmgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in FC STARS's zone, Viktor Johansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vidar Högberg came out of the goal and Viktor Johansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vidar Högberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hjalmar Holmgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Gomez BK getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Viktor Johansson hit a great ball. Hjalmar Holmgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vidar Högberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hjalmar Holmgren in the 77th minute of the match. Gomez BK's Östen Frykberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikael Lund in the 80th minute of play. Hjalmar Holmgren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vidar Högberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play.
