A collision led to Lokomotiv Kiev getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Johannes Bergström hit a great ball. In the 9th minute, Rickard Sjöberg had to leave the field with a concussion. When Åke Grönlund fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lokomotiv Kiev's protests and gave Åke Grönlund a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Lokomotiv Kiev getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Åke Grönlund hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Hörby's Paul Salqvist got a free kick in the 27th minute. Hörby's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Elof Fristedt 30 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Lokomotiv Kiev's Karl Sjöberg got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Karl-Erik Klint sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, Lokomotiv Kiev's Elof Fristedt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arne Vennerkvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Åke Cane charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Åke Cane the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 38 played minutes Hörby got a freekick which was hit by Åke Cane. Mattias Häger's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Arne Vennerkvist skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Karl-Erik Klint had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karl-Erik Klint to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Karl-Erik Klint managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hörby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Erik Klint was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anton Vassenius made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Karl-Erik Klint sent off a good shot on target. Hörby's Karl-Erik Klint got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Lokomotiv Kiev booed when Hörby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Erik Klint didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arne Vennerkvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elof Fristedt went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Hörby getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Karl-Erik Klint hit a great ball. Mårten Wallin's late challenge caught a Lokomotiv Kiev's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mårten Wallin helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Hörby's Mårten Wallin got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Isaac Lövkvist, 74 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Lokomotiv Kiev's Anton Vassenius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Lokomotiv Kiev from getting a goal against them. Åke Grönlund was shown his second yellow card after 81 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Hörby booed when Lokomotiv Kiev was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Åke Grönlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Karl-Erik Klint had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, Mattias Häger notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Hörby's Arne Vennerkvist. Arne Vennerkvist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mattias Häger blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arne Vennerkvist having to make a save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lokomotiv Kiev fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hörby had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
