After 10 played minutes, Lödöse IK's Malcolm Ahlgren shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper William Löfkvist came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lödöse IK reached it. The supporters of Booi Barmans BK booed when Lödöse IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kjell-Arne Sjöman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lödöse IK's Claes Sjöberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulf Lindholm in the 12th minute of play. Claes Sjöberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristoffer Hammarbäck in the 17th minute of the match. Claes Sjöberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulf Lindholm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute of the match, Kristoffer Hammarbäck got a very nice opportunity to score, but Claes Sjöberg was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 25 minutes into the match, Kjell-Arne Sjöman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of William Löfkvist. Booi Barmans BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kjell-Arne Sjöman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. David Fransson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Löfkvist having to interfere. Kristoffer Hammarbäcks short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Claes Sjöberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 36th minute David Fransson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Löfkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Lödöse IK's goalkeeper Claes Sjöberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kristoffer Hammarbäck. Sture Tolsson lost his temper 41 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lödöse IK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! Claes Sjöberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulf Lindholm, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Aron Västberg kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Ulf Lindholm made the kick off in the second half. Lödöse IK's Claes Sjöberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulf Lindholm in the 57th minute of play. After 58 minutes of play, Booi Barmans BK's Osvald Löv made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claes Sjöberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 63rd minute, David Fransson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. William Löfkvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Claes Sjöberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvald Löv in the 66th minute of the match. If Urban Lindberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute Anton Kellbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claes Sjöberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kristoffer Hammarbäck in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claes Sjöberg saved Lödöse IK from getting behind. A collision led to Lödöse IK getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Malcolm Ahlgren hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute, Urban Lindberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Urban Lindberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but William Löfkvist made a huge save. When Tage Fristedt fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lödöse IK's protests and gave Tage Fristedt a yellow card for diving instead. In the 91st minute, Tage Fristedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claes Sjöberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulf Lindholm in the 98th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
