Claes Sjöberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilbert Petersson in the 3rd minute of the match. Gilbert Petersson might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claes Sjöberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gilbert Petersson ran back to his position shaking his head. Claes Sjöberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilbert Petersson in the 12th minute of the match. If Lukas Håkansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kjell-Arne Sjöman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Frans Drewitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Urban Lindberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Urban Lindberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frans Drewitz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 27th minute Gilbert Petersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claes Sjöberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Urban Lindberg notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Södra Vi's Frans Drewitz. Frans Drewitz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Claes Sjöberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilbert Petersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frans Drewitz made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Urban Lindberg sent off a good shot on target. Tage Fristedt hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Börge Hultin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Södra Vi's Frans Drewitz got control of the ball when David Fransson tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Lukas Håkansson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Claes Sjöberg made a huge save. Claes Sjöberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilbert Petersson, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. With a little luck, Lödöse IK's Claes Sjöberg got control of the ball when Tommy Jonasson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ian Nordgren's late challenge caught a Södra Vi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Södra Vi's Frans Drewitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Fransson in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilbert Petersson in the 67th minute of play forced Lödöse IK's goalkeeper Claes Sjöberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Södra Vi's zone, Urban Lindberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frans Drewitz came out of the goal and Urban Lindberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Per Asmundsson hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Kjell-Arne Sjöman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frans Drewitz having to make a save. If Kjell-Arne Sjöman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the game, Lödöse IK's Urban Lindberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Frans Drewitz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Lödöse IK had won after a very even match.
