Goal Kick. In the 11th minute, Gunnar Falkrantz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lennart Björkman struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Hjalmar Ambjörnsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Båstad. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gunnar Falkrantz in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hjalmar Ambjörnsson saved Virestad from getting behind. With a little luck, Båstad's Valdemar Brummer got control of the ball when Tomas Ivarsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Båstad's Valdemar Brummer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kjell Fagerberg in the 30th minute of play. Valdemar Brummer came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Virestad's Kjell Fagerberg. But to his dismay, Kjell Fagerberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Valdemar Brummer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kjell Fagerberg in the 32nd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Virestad's goal looked a bit too open when Gunnar Falkrantz came free, but Hjalmar Ambjörnsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hjalmar Ambjörnsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lennart Björkman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After recieving a nice pass, Båstad's Gunnar Falkrantz tried to score from far away in the 38th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 40 minutes into the game, Timmy Blomqvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Virestad's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Båstad the free kick. In the 40th match minute, Virestad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timmy Blomqvist to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute, Tomas Ivarsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kjell Fagerberg was the one to do the kick off. Gunnar Falkrantz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Hjalmar Ambjörnsson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Axel Månsson charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Axel Månsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Virestad's Axel Månsson got a free kick in the 54th minute. Båstad's Valdemar Brummer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kjell Fagerberg in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute Tomas Ivarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdemar Brummer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hjalmar Ambjörnsson made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Gunnar Falkrantz sent off a good shot on target. Valdemar Brummer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Ivarsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute, Freddie Berglund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hjalmar Ambjörnsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emanuel Löfdahl went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Kjell Fagerberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Valdemar Brummer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute of the match Sigvard Tinglöf sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hjalmar Ambjörnsson skillfully saved the ball. Gunnar Falkrantz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Hjalmar Ambjörnsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gunnar Falkrantz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alf Andreasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hjalmar Ambjörnsson having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Gunnar Falkrantz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hjalmar Ambjörnsson. Virestad's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gunnar Falkrantz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Båstad's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
