The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thor Björnberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charlie Engström in the 4th minute of play. Svante Isaksson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without John Vikström having to make a save. 7 minutes into the game, Valter Strömqvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bunkeflostrand IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Storvreta FF the free kick. After 7 played minutes Bunkeflostrand IK got a freekick which was hit by Valter Strömqvist. With a little luck, Bunkeflostrand IK's John Vikström got control of the ball when Ted Tönnberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 12 minutes, Joakim Brandt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bunkeflostrand IK and the Storvreta FF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Joakim Brandt kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Valter Strömqvist sped through Storvreta FF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Thor Björnberg. In the 22nd minute Nicklas Ekman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thor Björnberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valter Strömqvist took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thor Björnberg. Thor Björnberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. A collision led to Bunkeflostrand IK getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Mats Åström hit a great ball. In the 33rdth minute Thomas Fågel easily got through Bunkeflostrand IK's defense and fired away a shot, but John Vikström leaped left and performed a fabulous save. Storvreta FF's Svante Isaksson got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Nicklas Ekman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ted Tönnberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Vikström having to interfere. Ted Tönnberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. John Vikström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bunkeflostrand IK's Charlie Engström got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

John Vikström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ted Tönnberg in the 56th minute of the match. John Vikström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ted Tönnberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Bunkeflostrand IK's goal looked a bit too open when Svante Isaksson came free, but John Vikström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Bunkeflostrand IK defense, Svante Isaksson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of John Vikström. The Bunkeflostrand IK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that John Vikström should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Valter Strömqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bunkeflostrand IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Valter Strömqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thor Björnberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 71st match minute, Bunkeflostrand IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joakim Brandt to maneuver through the defense. Thor Björnberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valter Strömqvist in the 82nd minute of play. Charlie Engström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the match, Storvreta FF's goal looked a bit too open when Valter Strömqvist came free, but Thor Björnberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ted Tönnberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Svante Isaksson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but John Vikström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Storvreta FF had won after a very even match.
