After 7 played minutes Elias Tönnberg could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 1-0 into the left cross. In the 14th minute Folke Samuelsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Sundberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Skälvik's goal looked a bit too open when Fredric Kielberg came free, but Daniel Sundberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Elias Tönnberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexander Hermansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Arne Pettersson having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Skälvik's Elias Tönnberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Per-Arne Pettersson. That made the score 2-0 after 24 minutes of play. After 33 played minutes Hjärtum BK got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Mellberg. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fredric Kielberg in the 36th minute of play forced Skälvik's goalkeeper Daniel Sundberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fredric Kielberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Sundberg having to interfere. Folke Samuelsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daniel Sundberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Folke Samuelsson ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 45th minute Fredric Kielberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Sundberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Hjärtum BK's goalkeeper Per-Arne Pettersson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexander Hermansson. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 53rd match minute, Hjärtum BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bertil Lindström to maneuver through the defense. Tor Wallander was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 54th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Hjärtum BK's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Hermansson came free, but Per-Arne Pettersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Georg Dalgren fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hjärtum BK's protests and gave Georg Dalgren a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd minute, Georg Dalgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Folke Samuelsson got free with Daniel Sundberg in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Georg Dalgren was shown his second yellow card after 68 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 69 played minutes Hjärtum BK got a freekick which was hit by Georg Dalgren. Alexander Hermansson took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Per-Arne Pettersson. Per-Arne Pettersson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Hjärtum BK's zone, Elias Tönnberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Per-Arne Pettersson came out of the goal and Elias Tönnberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Skälvik's Daniel Sundberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Skälvik from getting a goal against them. Inge Åberg kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After 83 minutes, Olof Jansson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hjärtum BK and the Skälvik players grew even worse after the yellow card. Olof Jansson hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Alexander Hermansson struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Per-Arne Pettersson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skälvik. Hjärtum BK's Folke Samuelsson got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Elias Tönnberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Per-Arne Pettersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Hermansson in the 94th minute of play. Folke Samuelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Hjärtum BK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Skälvik.
