In the 5th minute, Adrian Botvidsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the match, FC Marabou's goal looked a bit too open when Lennart Ödman came free, but Johannes Fernström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Gräsmyr RK's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Magnus Västlund came free, but Tomas Svensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Marabou's Johannes Fernström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lennart Ödman in the 14th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Karl-Magnus Västlund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 23rd minute of the match Jerry Lindholm shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tomas Svensson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of FC Marabou booed when Gräsmyr RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Botvidsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gräsmyr RK's Tomas Svensson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Gräsmyr RK from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Björnsson in the 30th minute of play forced FC Marabou's goalkeeper Johannes Fernström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl-Åke Björkqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Tomas Svensson made a huge save. After 33 played minutes FC Marabou got a freekick which was hit by Jerry Lindholm. A collision led to FC Marabou getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Ture Sundberg hit a great ball. Ian Björnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the game, Emanuel Löfgren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gräsmyr RK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Marabou the free kick. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gräsmyr RK! In the 42nd minute, FC Marabou got a penalty, and Gustaf Qvarnström placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lennart Ödman to make the kick off. Johannes Fernström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ian Björnsson in the 52nd minute of play. FC Marabou's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Lennart Ödman 53 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. 57 minutes into the match, Ian Björnsson notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of FC Marabou's Johannes Fernström. Johannes Fernström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Marabou fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 65th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 67 minutes, Gräsmyr RK's Patrik Ekeberg got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Johannes Fernström. Tomas Svensson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Åke Björkqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Jon Fribäck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ian Björnsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Johannes Fernström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Johannes Fernström made a fantastic save in the 99th minute, when Ian Björnsson sent off a good shot on target.
