After a defensive mix-up in Simlångsdalen FF's zone, Erland Svensson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olov Tham came out of the goal and Erland Svensson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adrian Bremming charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adrian Bremming the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice moves Erland Svensson could shoot a difficult shot in the 46th minute, which Olov Tham however easily saved by the left post. Kalle Stensson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Norberg having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patrik Joensson was the one to do the kick off. Erland Svensson got in the 66th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Olov Tham handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 71st minute of the match Kjell Ek shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olov Tham showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erland Svensson in the 73rd minute of play forced Simlångsdalen FF's goalkeeper Olov Tham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kurt Norberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexander Ekström in the 83rd minute of the match. Erland Svensson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Olov Tham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olov Tham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johannes Malm in the 92nd minute of the match. If Erland Svensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
