The audience thought a goal was coming when Stig Stenberg got free with Patrick Löfkvist in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Michael Frisk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anders Näver's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Patrick Löfkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakob Hedling in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, FC Skogge's goal looked a bit too open when Jakob Hedling came free, but Patrick Löfkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute, Erik Sjö hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st match minute, Storlien BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolf Hedlund to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Storlien BF getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Rolf Hedlund hit a great ball. Stig Stenberg kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 25thth minute. Though ot was a great shot FC Skogge's keeper Patrick Löfkvist was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Johan Nordin hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Anton Dahlbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Michael Frisk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, FC Skogge's Patrick Löfkvist got control of the ball when Rolf Hedlund tried to sneak it across the goal line. Patrick Löfkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig Stenberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Storlien BF's zone, Viggo Walroth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michael Frisk came out of the goal and Viggo Walroth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Charles Allbom was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of FC Skogge booed when Storlien BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolf Hedlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patrick Löfkvist came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Storlien BF's Samuel Björklund. But to his dismay, Samuel Björklund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Stig Stenberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Löfkvist having to interfere. Jakob Hedling's late challenge caught a FC Skogge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jakob Hedling helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Skogge booed when Storlien BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position.
