Melker Linberg's late challenge caught a Tvärred BF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Melker Linberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 14 played minutes Ljungby IFK got a freekick which was hit by Melker Linberg. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gösta Nyqvist in the 15th minute of play forced Ljungby IFK's goalkeeper Christian Blomqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th match minute, Ljungby IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Hjortsberg to maneuver through the defense. Christian Blomqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Nilsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gösta Nyqvist in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christian Blomqvist saved Ljungby IFK from getting behind. 26 minutes into the match, Tvärred BF's goal looked a bit too open when Melker Linberg came free, but Axel Fransson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andréas Bålström during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Tvärred BF getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Andréas Bålström hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Melker Linberg in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Axel Fransson saved Tvärred BF from getting behind. In the 35th minute, Bernt Bure hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th match minute, Tvärred BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andréas Bålström to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute of the match Fredrik Hansson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Axel Fransson skillfully saved the ball. Melker Linberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Axel Fransson having to make a save. When Jan Rosin came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Ljungby IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan Rosin couldn't finish the play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gösta Nyqvist was the one to do the kick off. Ljungby IFK's Melker Linberg got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 55 minutes into the game, Ljungby IFK's Jan Rosin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Axel Fransson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Gösta Nyqvist charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gösta Nyqvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jan Rosin scored 2-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Axel Fransson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 63 played minutes Ljungby IFK got a freekick which was hit by Ingvar Fanström. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melker Linberg in the 66th minute of play forced Tvärred BF's goalkeeper Axel Fransson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Axel Fransson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Jan Rosin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Axel Fransson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melker Linberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Ljungby IFK's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
