Oskar Bergqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leif Holmgren in the 6th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Funäsdalen BF's goal looked a bit too open when Leif Holmgren came free, but Oskar Bergqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Gunnarsson hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Reine Bengtsson sped through Funäsdalen BF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Oskar Bergqvist. In the 15th minute Tim Berglund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Göran Sjögren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manfred Holmberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manfred Holmberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göran Sjögren having to interfere. Manfred Holmberg scored 1-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Göran Sjögren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Malmö 's Göran Sjögren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tim Berglund in the 28th minute of play. Leif Holmgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oskar Bergqvist having to interfere. Oskar Bergqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reine Bengtsson in the 30th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Funäsdalen BF's Tim Berglund slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Göran Sjögren. That made the score 2-1 after 35 minutes of play. Oskar Bergqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reine Bengtsson in the 40th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Reine Bengtsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oskar Bergqvist. Funäsdalen BF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reine Bengtsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Tim Berglund made the kick off in the second half. Tim Berglund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Göran Sjögren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Manfred Holmberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Göran Sjögren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tim Berglund's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. After 65 played minutes Malmö got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Lindsten. 69 minutes into the match, Bernt Sundin notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Malmö 's Göran Sjögren. Göran Sjögren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Malmö 's Göran Sjögren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manfred Holmberg in the 73rd minute of play. 78 minutes into the game, Funäsdalen BF's Tim Berglund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Göran Sjögren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. The supporters of Malmö booed when Funäsdalen BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Gunnarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute of the match Bengt Gustavsson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oskar Bergqvist skillfully saved the ball. Malmö 's Reine Bengtsson got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Funäsdalen BF getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Bernt Sundin hit a great ball. In the 89th minute, Leif Holmgren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Funäsdalen BF's Manfred Holmberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Göran Sjögren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 93 minutes into the game, Bernt Sundin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Funäsdalen BF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malmö the free kick. A collision led to Funäsdalen BF getting a freekick after 93 minutes play.
