Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Högsby FK's Stig Skager started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Pershyttan United FC booed when Högsby FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthias Forsman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lennart Kilström, 4 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Stig Skager had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harry Hedkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig Skager, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jörgen Alegren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Sundling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Daniel Sundling put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jörgen Alegren. Joakim Drake sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Joakim Drake came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Högsby FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joakim Drake couldn't finish the play. Stig Skager fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Hedkvist having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Bo Åkerman made the kick off in the second half. Högsby FK's Joakim Drake got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Högsby FK's Jörgen Alegren got control of the ball when Daniel Sundling tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stig Skager recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erik Stolpe kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Joakim Drake sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jörgen Alegren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Sundling in the 71st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Pershyttan United FC's zone, Joakim Drake stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harry Hedkvist came out of the goal and Joakim Drake tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joakim Drake sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig Skager in the 81st minute of play forced Pershyttan United FC's goalkeeper Harry Hedkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Pershyttan United FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Bo Åkerman hit a great ball. Pershyttan United FC's Harry Hedkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joakim Drake in the 92nd minute of play. After having played for 94 minutes, Matthias Forsman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Högsby FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matthias Forsman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Pershyttan United FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
