Veggies VV's Johan Sigfridsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaac Botvidsson in the 10th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Veggies VV's Yngve Brenner got a free kick in the 11th minute. After 14 played minutes Djura FF got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Botvidsson. A hard shot 20 in the game by Eric Lundberg from a close distance when the talented Johan Sigfridsson managed to make a qualified save. Veggies VV's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Fristedt in the 26th minute of play forced Djura FF's goalkeeper Jan-Erik Simonsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the game, Eric Lundberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Johan Sigfridsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 35th minute there was a penalty for Veggies VV. Karl-Åke Lindkvist stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jan-Erik Simonsson. 1-1. If Ingemar Edström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Djura FF's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Fristedt came free, but Jan-Erik Simonsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ingemar Edström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Eric Fristedt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jan-Erik Simonsson was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Jan-Erik Simonsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Ingemar Edström came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Veggies VV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ingemar Edström couldn't finish the play. 69 minutes into the match, Veggies VV's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Myhr came free, but Johan Sigfridsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Djura FF's Jan-Erik Simonsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Fristedt in the 74th minute of play. Ingemar Edströms short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Jan-Erik Simonsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Djura FF's Jan-Erik Simonsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Djura FF from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Veggies VV defense, Eric Lundberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johan Sigfridsson. The Veggies VV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johan Sigfridsson should have stopped the shot. Veggies VV's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
