Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Elof Hammarberg took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Knut Söderström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 7 minutes into the game, Himmelsblå's Marcus Utter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sune Pihlgren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 15 minutes into the game, Kennet Kolberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Himmelsblå's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bruzaholm the free kick. In the 16th minute, Kurt Sundén ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Viggo Nordström was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Jan-Åke Palmkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Sune Pihlgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bengt-Rune Bjursell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andy Stenström was the one to do the kick off. When Marcus Utter came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Himmelsblå fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcus Utter couldn't finish the play. After 55 played minutes Bruzaholm got a freekick which was hit by Olof Gallberg. Andy Stenström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sune Pihlgren having to interfere. Bruzaholm's Sune Pihlgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Stenström in the 62nd minute of play. Sune Pihlgren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bengt-Rune Bjursell went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Andy Stenström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 70 minutes into the match, Bruzaholm's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Stenström came free, but Sune Pihlgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, Elof Hammarberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Viggo Nordström. Elof Hammarberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. Sune Pihlgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andy Stenström in the 76th minute of play. Knut Söderström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 84 minutes, Björn Springfält mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bruzaholm and the Himmelsblå players grew even worse after the yellow card. 85 minutes into the match, Himmelsblå's Kennet Kolberg broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Bruzaholm's Sune Pihlgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Stenström in the 86th minute of play. Bruzaholm's Elof Hammarberg got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st match minute, Himmelsblå was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt-Rune Bjursell to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute, Himmelsblå's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Elof Hammarberg fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Andy Stenström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Marcus Utter came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Himmelsblå fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcus Utter couldn't finish the play. The Bruzaholm supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bruzaholm would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
