In the 6th minute, Simon Stensson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 9th minute Simon Stensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Ove Ersman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Simon Stensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 15 minutes, Stig-Åke Bergqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hudiksvall's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stig-Åke Bergqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Simon Stensson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Simon Stensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute, Stig-Åke Bergqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bengt Albom's late challenge caught a Hudiksvall's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bengt Albom helped the player get up and apologised. Mårten Wall took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jens-Ove Ersman. Vitaby's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jens-Ove Ersman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Åke Bergqvist in the 34th minute of the match. Simon Stensson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens-Ove Ersman having to interfere. If Stig-Åke Bergqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jens-Ove Ersman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Åke Bergqvist in the 41st minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stig-Åke Bergqvist to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match, Simon Stensson got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jens-Ove Ersman was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The Hudiksvall fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 58 played minutes Hudiksvall got a freekick which was hit by Vidar Bålström. The audience was convinced that Stig-Åke Bergqvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jens-Ove Ersman was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Jens-Ove Ersman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Åke Bergqvist in the 64th minute of the match. Stefan Hansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Sören Björck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jens-Ove Ersman made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Simon Stensson sent off a good shot on target. 81 minutes into the match, Vitaby's goal looked a bit too open when Vidar Bålström came free, but Jens-Ove Ersman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Vitaby's Jens-Ove Ersman got control of the ball when Simon Stensson tried to sneak it across the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Hudiksvall's goal looked a bit too open when Torbjörn Termander came free, but Sören Björck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th match minute, Vitaby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Åke Rosendahl to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes into the match, Hudiksvall's Mårten Wall broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The Vitaby fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hudiksvall were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
