Joakim Dusett kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Robin Hansson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Simon Stensson in the 8th minute. Robin Hansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Åke Bergqvist in the 10th minute of play. Stig-Åke Bergqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vidar Bålström during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Utö IFK booed when Hudiksvall was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vidar Bålström didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Utö IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Stig-Åke Bergqvist came free, but Robin Hansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robin Hansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Åke Bergqvist in the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Edvard Sellberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gottfrid Blomqvist during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Utö IFK's Gottfrid Blomqvist got a free kick in the 25th minute. Hudiksvall's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mårten Wall in the 28th minute. Vidar Bålström kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. If Jens-Erik Säv had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hudiksvall's Vidar Bålström got his second yellow card of the match in the 32nd minute. The referee ordered Vidar Bålström off the ground. In the 33rd match minute, Hudiksvall was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vidar Bålström to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Utö IFK's Robin Hansson got control of the ball when Simon Stensson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hudiksvall's supporters rose to their feet, but Stig-Åke Bergqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robin Hansson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 45th minute of the match, Simon Stensson got a very nice opportunity to score, but Robin Hansson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Simon Stensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jens-Erik Säv was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Hudiksvall's Simon Stensson got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Fred Kellbom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sören Björck having to interfere. Sören Björck made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Fred Kellbom sent off a good shot on target. Fred Kellbom's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sören Björck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Stensson in the 66th minute of play forced Utö IFK's goalkeeper Robin Hansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robin Hansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Stensson, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Robin Hansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Åke Bergqvist in the 70th minute of play. Tage Ingvall's late challenge caught a Utö IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tage Ingvall helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Hudiksvall getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Tage Ingvall hit a great ball. Jens-Erik Säv received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Sören Björck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gösta Anselius kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 79th minute Simon Stensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Hansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robin Hansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Stensson, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Utö IFK's Robin Hansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Stensson in the 83rd minute of play. If Stig-Åke Bergqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice moves Fred Kellbom could shoot a difficult shot in the 89th minute, which Sören Björck however easily saved by the left post. The Utö IFK players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Hudiksvall from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
