Sixten Kjellqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Hedström having to interfere. Björn Skålberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, Edward Grelsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Svennes egna fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Edward Grelsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 53 played minutes Svennes egna got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Åke Gerdberg. Sixten Kjellqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. A very good chance. Rimbo's Harry Simonsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Grelsson in the 73rd minute of play. In the 81st match minute, Rimbo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sixten Kjellqvist to maneuver through the defense. Andreas Ennegren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Hedström having to interfere. After having played for 90 minutes, Sixten Kjellqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rimbo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sixten Kjellqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Sixten Kjellqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rimbo's supporters rose to their feet, but Sixten Kjellqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomas Hedström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94th minute, Sixten Kjellqvist made a precise shot to the right of Tomas Hedström. Svennes egna's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
