In the 20th minute Tom Håkansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikael Åström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 23 minutes, Tom Håkansson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ätran BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tom Håkansson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Haeger kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Tom Håkansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikael Åström having to interfere. If Eric Hägert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rudolf Bergren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Hägert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tom Håkansson struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Mikael Åström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ätran BF. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eric Hägert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Ätran BF got a freekick which was hit by Tom Håkansson. After a defensive mix-up in Ätran BF's zone, Eric Hägert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rudolf Bergren came out of the goal and Eric Hägert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mikael Åström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tom Håkansson in the 59th minute. With a little luck, Bjuråker's Mikael Åström got control of the ball when Tom Håkansson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tom Håkansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikael Åström having to interfere. Hans Grönlund succeeded in the game's 65th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Hans Grönlund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mikael Åström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Tom Håkansson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Mikael Åström made a huge save. After 80 played minutes Bjuråker got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Haeger. Tom Håkansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikael Åström having to interfere. When the match was over Ätran BF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bjuråker throughout the match.
