Rune Lundblad who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Stefan Gerdberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 31 played minutes Älvsered got a freekick which was hit by Ulf Juhlin. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gösta Wiman in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stefan Gerdberg saved Älvsered from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Almstedt in the 39th minute of play forced Fröseke's goalkeeper Gunnar Axelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Älvsered's Stefan Gerdberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Älvsered from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kurt Almstedt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gösta Wiman took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stefan Gerdberg. Stefan Gerdberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Hugo Mossberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hugo Mossberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunnar Axelsson having to interfere. Fröseke's Gunnar Axelsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Almstedt in the 67th minute of play. Stefan Gerdberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rune Lundblad in the 84th minute of play. With a little luck, Fröseke's Gunnar Axelsson got control of the ball when Hugo Mossberg tried to sneak it across the goal line.
