In the 9thth minute of the game Stefan Allbom who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rättelöv Flamingos's Kennet Mellberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Markaryd booed when Rättelöv Flamingos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Linberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Allbom in the 13th minute of play forced Rättelöv Flamingos's goalkeeper Kennet Mellberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hans Carlsson kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Stefan Allbom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edvin Östensson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Edvin Östensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Rättelöv Flamingos defense, Håkan Myr kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kennet Mellberg. The Rättelöv Flamingos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kennet Mellberg should have stopped the shot. Kennet Mellberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvin Östensson in the 38th minute of play. Kristian Asklund kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvin Östensson in the 40th minute of play forced Rättelöv Flamingos's goalkeeper Kennet Mellberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Stefan Allbom fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Markaryd's protests and gave Stefan Allbom a yellow card for diving instead. Filiph Asmundsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Näver, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Filiph Asmundsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Näver in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stefan Allbom to strike the kick off in the second half. Stefan Allbom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kennet Mellberg having to interfere. Rättelöv Flamingos's Kennet Mellberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefan Allbom in the 56th minute of play. After 57 played minutes Rättelöv Flamingos got a freekick which was hit by Kristian Asklund. 58 minutes into the match, Markaryd's Joacim Tingelholm broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The audience was convinced that Stefan Allbom's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kennet Mellberg was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Stefan Allbom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filiph Asmundsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jakob Olofsson in the 70th minute of the match. Jonathan Näver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A hard and well directed shot from Joacim Tingelholm led 80 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Rättelöv Flamingos's Kennet Mellberg became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 0-2. After 83 minutes, Håkan Myr mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Markaryd and the Rättelöv Flamingos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Håkan Myr hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the match, Markaryd's goal looked a bit too open when Jakob Olofsson came free, but Filiph Asmundsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Markaryd getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Jens-Ove Tidén hit a great ball. Jonathan Näver might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filiph Asmundsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonathan Näver ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match was over Markaryd could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rättelöv Flamingos throughout the match.
