The audience thought a goal was coming when Bo Söderquist got free with Marko Bållström in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marko Bållström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charlie Lundqvist in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute, one of Lövestad IFK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lövestad IFK. In the 18th minute there was a penalty for Malung. John Smed stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Marko Bållström. 2-0. When Hjalmar Nord came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Malung fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hjalmar Nord couldn't finish the play. Marko Bållström made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Mats Hagström sent off a good shot on target. 36 minutes into the match, Lövestad IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Hjalmar Nord came free, but Marko Bållström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute Charlie Lundqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marko Bållström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 47 minutes, Mats Hagström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malung's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mats Hagström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Charlie Lundqvist was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hjalmar Nord in the 53rd minute of play forced Lövestad IFK's goalkeeper Marko Bållström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ludvig Unesson in the 69th minute of play forced Malung's goalkeeper Marcus Stephansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marko Bållström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charlie Lundqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Mats Hagström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute, Eskil Hellström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tobias Hagberg's late challenge caught a Malung's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tobias Hagberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th match minute, Lövestad IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tobias Hagberg to maneuver through the defense. If Charlie Lundqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, Lövestad IFK's Ludvig Unesson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcus Stephansson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marko Bållström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charlie Lundqvist in the 88th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Ludvig Unesson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcus Stephansson was relentless in the 89th minute of the game.
