The referee ignored Real Madrid's protests and gave Osvald Blomkvist a yellow card for diving instead. Osvald Blomkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gottfrid Hedvall during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Tomas Nykvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Real Madrid's Kevin Nordström got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tobias Sillén recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Alf Berg came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Real Madrid fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alf Berg couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edvard Wennerlund during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

54 minutes into the match, Real Madrid's Alf Berg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peter Lövskog narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tobias Sillén charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tobias Sillén the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Egil Caspersson acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 67th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Hans Kvist. If Edvard Wennerlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, Gottfrid Hedvall notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Real Madrid's Egil Caspersson. Egil Caspersson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alf Berg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Edvard Wennerlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Real Madrid getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Viggo Lindsten hit a great ball. Egil Caspersson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edvard Wennerlund in the 91st minute. Per-Åke Rolandsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Egil Caspersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. pataholms kickerz's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
