The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute there was a penalty for Anaheim Rockers. Joachim Back fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eskil Sundberg having to interfere. Påarp's Eskil Sundberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joakim Granqvist in the 13th minute of play. If Ted Kvalfält had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Påarp booed when Anaheim Rockers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Ove Axelsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anaheim Rockers's Patric Siöman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Anaheim Rockers from getting a goal against them. After 27 minutes, Joakim Granqvist made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Påarp's Eskil Sundberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Patric Siöman acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 34th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Harald Thorsberg. Joakim Granqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eskil Sundberg having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Eskil Sundberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joakim Granqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Björn Håkansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Påarp's supporters rose to their feet, but Björn Håkansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patric Siöman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joachim Back sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Anaheim Rockers's Stellan Helström got a free kick in the 74th minute. Åke Sundén took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Patric Siöman. Anaheim Rockers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted Kvalfält in the 76th minute of play forced Anaheim Rockers's goalkeeper Patric Siöman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Stig-Ove Axelsson fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Anaheim Rockers's protests and gave Stig-Ove Axelsson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th match minute, Anaheim Rockers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Ove Axelsson to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute Ted Kvalfält shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patric Siöman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Anaheim Rockers eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
