Rolf Stabbe started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörn Bremming in the 3rd minute of play forced AC Maradona's goalkeeper Fabian Tholsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolf Stabbe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Rune Nordin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Jerry Liljeström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rune Nordin. Emmaboda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jerry Liljeström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Olof Vedholm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Tholsson having to interfere. If Jens-Åke Göransson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jens-Åke Göransson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Fabian Tholsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emmaboda's Rune Nordin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Emmaboda from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Emmaboda booed when AC Maradona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georg Andberg didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jens-Åke Göransson was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Georg Andberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jörn Bremming fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Tholsson having to interfere. Jerry Liljeström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Nordin having to interfere. Jerry Liljeström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute Rolf Stabbe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Nordin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 77 minutes, Jerry Liljeström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC Maradona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerry Liljeström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emmaboda's Rune Nordin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolf Stabbe in the 79th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerry Liljeström in the 82nd minute of play forced Emmaboda's goalkeeper Rune Nordin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jörn Bremming fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Tholsson having to interfere. With a little luck, AC Maradona's Fabian Tholsson got control of the ball when Jörn Bremming tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fabian Tholsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Åke Göransson in the 90th minute of the match. Jerry Liljeström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Nordin having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
