Isac Linberg made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Torbjörn Helström sent off a good shot on target. When Pål Håkansson fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Edsbyn FC's protests and gave Pål Håkansson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th match minute, Edsbyn FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pål Håkansson to maneuver through the defense. Ulrik Ahlström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute Ulrik Ahlström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfons Ekman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulrik Ahlström in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfons Ekman saved Kungsgården FK from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Kungsgården FK's Malte Björkkvist got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute, Viggo Kielstedt made a precise shot to the right of Alfons Ekman. Kungsgården FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Elof Vestberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Isac Linberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Edsbyn FC's Sune Öman got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Elof Vestberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Isac Linberg made a huge save. Ulrik Ahlström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Viggo Kielstedt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfons Ekman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Edsbyn FC's Isac Linberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Edsbyn FC from getting a goal against them. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Edsbyn FC's goalkeeper Isac Linberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Elof Vestberg could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Isac Linberg however easily saved by the left post. After 46 played minutes Edsbyn FC got a freekick which was hit by Sune Öman. Isac Linberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Ekeroth, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half Edsbyn FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viggo Kielstedt made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Johan Karlsson during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Kungsgården FK booed when Edsbyn FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johan Karlsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isac Linberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Ekeroth in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Ekeroth in the 58th minute of play forced Edsbyn FC's goalkeeper Isac Linberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Kungsgården FK fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Kungsgården FK's Elof Vestberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Alfons Ekman made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Ulrik Ahlström sent off a good shot on target. In the 70th minute, one of Kungsgården FK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kungsgården FK. Andréas Västerstrand shot the penalty kick right outside the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viggo Kielstedt in the 74th minute of play forced Kungsgården FK's goalkeeper Alfons Ekman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Kungsgården FK's Torbjörn Helström got a free kick in the 75th minute. After having played for 79 minutes, Elof Vestberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kungsgården FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elof Vestberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ulrik Ahlström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Malte Björkkvist was shown his second yellow card after 91 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Kungsgården FK getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Malte Björkkvist hit a great ball. In the 98th minute, Torbjörn Helström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Edsbyn FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Edsbyn FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
