After a rather tough play, Asmundtorp BK's Edgar Dahlberg got a free kick in the 8th minute. A collision led to Asmundtorp BK getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Karl-Michael Hermansson hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, Asmundtorp BK's goal looked a bit too open when Olle Svensson came free, but Leif Mellberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robin Eliasson made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Michel Persson sent off a good shot on target. Bertil Fransson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Leif Mellberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Bertil Fransson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Michel Persson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Eliasson having to interfere. Jonas Boman kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the game, Michel Persson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Asmundtorp BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Västra Gärde FF the free kick. A collision led to Asmundtorp BK getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Michel Persson hit a great ball. Bertil Fransson charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bertil Fransson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bertil Fransson hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olle Svensson in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leif Mellberg saved Asmundtorp BK from getting behind. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When Västra Gärde FF's Olle Svensson in 52 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Leif Mellberg guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. If Bertil Fransson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 64 minutes, Bertil Fransson made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Asmundtorp BK's Leif Mellberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Asmundtorp BK's Leif Mellberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Asmundtorp BK from getting a goal against them. Robin Eliasson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boris Johnsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Leif Mellberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olle Svensson in the 74th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Asmundtorp BK's goalkeeper Leif Mellberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bertil Fransson. In the 76th match minute, Asmundtorp BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Boman to maneuver through the defense. If Michel Persson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olle Svensson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Leif Mellberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olle Svensson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 91stth minute, Leif Mellberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Västra Gärde FF walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
