Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Matthias Hellgren started the match with the kick off. Lennart Strandberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredrik Lundkvist in the 3rd minute of play. Carl Myhr hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Marcus Odén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gottfrid Sundström having to interfere. Matthias Hellgren might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gottfrid Sundström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Matthias Hellgren ran back to his position shaking his head. Lennart Strandberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fredrik Lundkvist in the 20th minute. In the 25th minute, Carl Myhr got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcus Odén received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Gottfrid Sundström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hubert Knutsson charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hubert Knutsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Öje RK getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Hubert Knutsson hit a great ball. Herbert Lundin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 33 minutes of play Öje RK's Hubert Knutsson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Hubert Knutsson hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute, Marcus Odén got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Claes Åhman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 48th minute, Marcus Odén got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fredrik Lundkvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Västerås IFK's Fredrik Lundkvist in 53 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Lennart Strandberg guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After a defensive mix-up in Öje RK's zone, Fredrik Lundkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lennart Strandberg came out of the goal and Fredrik Lundkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claes Åhman's late challenge caught a Västerås IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claes Åhman helped the player get up and apologised. After 58 played minutes Öje RK got a freekick which was hit by Claes Åhman. Hubert Dahlberg was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 59th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Fredrik Lundkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lennart Strandberg having to interfere. Björn Kinell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lennart Strandberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. After having played for 66 minutes, Marcus Odén managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Öje RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcus Odén was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th minute, Bertil Ahlroht got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fredrik Lundkvist in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lennart Strandberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 72 minutes into the match, Fredrik Lundkvist notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Öje RK's Lennart Strandberg. Lennart Strandberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 79th minute, Fredrik Lundkvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Västerås IFK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. With a little luck, Västerås IFK's Gottfrid Sundström got control of the ball when Marcus Odén tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gottfrid Sundström made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Marcus Odén sent off a good shot on target. Fredrik Lundkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Lennart Strandberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 97th minute, Fredrik Lundkvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lennart Strandberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Västerås IFK were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Öje RK for a fine match.
