Björköby were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Kungsgården's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Olov Bäcklin took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Kungsgården's goalie and right to Thomas Mikaelsson. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Kungsgården's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Kungsgården's Orvar Helström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Kungsgården from getting a goal against them. After 8 minutes, Hampus Holmgren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kungsgården and the Björköby players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Björköby booed when Kungsgården was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Jonsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Börje Gustavsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute Charlie Vassenius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincent Thorsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Frank Törnqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Frank Törnqvist came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Kungsgården fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Törnqvist couldn't finish the play. Jonny Jonasson hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Börje Gustavsson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Orvar Helström skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Börje Gustavsson in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Orvar Helström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Börje Gustavsson was the one to do the kick off. Frank Törnqvist struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Vincent Thorsberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kungsgården. After 59 minutes, Charlie Vassenius made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Björköby's Vincent Thorsberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
