Vincent Thorsberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Esbjörnsson in the 19th minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, Tranemo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Samuelsson to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute, Ivar Fristedt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Björköby fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Vincent Thorsberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Esbjörnsson in the 32nd minute of play. After 33rd play minutes Bror Berggren shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Vincent Thorsberg and just under the crossbar into goal. Bror Berggren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Bror Berggren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vincent Thorsberg was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Johnny Samuelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Börje Gustavsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Börje Gustavsson made a kick off. Tranemo's Torsten Lindgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börje Gustavsson in the 52nd minute of play. 56 minutes into the game, Tranemo's Alexander Esbjörnsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vincent Thorsberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Vincent Thorsberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bror Berggren's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Johnny Samuelsson in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Torsten Lindgren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bror Berggren's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 62ndth minute, Vincent Thorsberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bror Berggren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Torsten Lindgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Börje Gustavsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Torsten Lindgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johnny Samuelsson in the 75th minute of the match. When Ivar Hjortberg fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Björköby's protests and gave Ivar Hjortberg a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Björköby getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Ivar Hjortberg hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute Bror Berggren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincent Thorsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Börje Gustavsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Lindgren having to interfere. Börje Gustavsson struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Torsten Lindgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Björköby. In the 93rd match minute, Tranemo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jörgen Högström to maneuver through the defense. Tranemo's Torsten Lindgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börje Gustavsson in the 95th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Björköby players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
