Nils-Emil Sjödin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Alvin Hernström made a huge save. Nils-Emil Sjödin took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alvin Hernström. Alvin Hernström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 22 minutes into the match, Ulricehamn FK's goal looked a bit too open when Christer Lindqvist came free, but Alvin Hernström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nils-Emil Sjödin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvin Hernström having to interfere. Benbrott BK's Christer Lindqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34th match minute, Benbrott BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Åke Dalberg to maneuver through the defense. Nils-Emil Sjödin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christer Lindqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Alvin Hernström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christer Lindqvist in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alvin Hernström saved Ulricehamn FK from getting behind. Karl Pedersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans Brandin, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christer Lindqvist made a kick off. Hans Brandin might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karl Pedersson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hans Brandin ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victor Ekström during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hans Brandin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Karl Pedersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 64 minutes, Helge Abelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ulricehamn FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Helge Abelsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 71 minutes of play Benbrott BK's Victor Ekström was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Benbrott BK's Victor Ekström got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd minute, Hans Brandin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sven-Åke Dalberg hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 76th match minute, Benbrott BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Åke Dalberg to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Sven-Erik Skoglund from long distance, 77 minutes into the match, got Karl Pedersson's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 78th match minute, Benbrott BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Åke Dalberg to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Helge Abelsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
