Gustaf Kling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustaf Kling stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Björn Palm's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. After a rather tough play, Lugnvik's Elliot Lind got a free kick in the 6th minute. After 10 minutes, Örjan Zander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lugnvik and the Sala FF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Arne Broman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rudolf Bergman during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sala FF's Rudolf Bergman got a free kick in the 24th minute. Svante Öfverman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Philip Sjöberg in the 32nd minute of the match. Albert Andersson kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Lugnvik's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Arne Broman fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lugnvik's goalkeeper Gustaf Kling, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Elliot Lind hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the game, Björn Palm was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sala FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lugnvik the free kick. Sture Hultstrand's late challenge caught a Lugnvik's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sture Hultstrand helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th minute of the match Staffan Lindblom shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Svante Öfverman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Sala FF's Erling Almstedt got a free kick in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Philip Sjöberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Björn Palm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustaf Kling having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Björn Palm in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustaf Kling saved Lugnvik from getting behind. 57 minutes into the match, Arne Broman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustaf Kling. Lugnvik's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arne Broman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Dan Lund hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Arne Broman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Philip Sjöberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Svante Öfverman having to interfere. Gustaf Kling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arne Broman in the 74th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Björn Palm in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustaf Kling prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gustaf Kling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Björn Palm, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. When Arne Broman came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Sala FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arne Broman couldn't finish the play. After having played for 87 minutes, Arne Broman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sala FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arne Broman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Björn Palm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustaf Kling having to interfere. Gustaf Kling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arne Broman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Björn Palm might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustaf Kling. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Björn Palm ran back to his position shaking his head. Björn Palm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustaf Kling having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sala FF fully deserved thier win.
