Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Edvin Ekman kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute of the match Roger Fribäck sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jan-Ove Tholsson skillfully saved the ball. Marcus Ahlén hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Reine Kilström took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jan-Ove Tholsson. Jan-Ove Tholsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Elliot Utfal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ingvar Billing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ingvar Billing's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Karl-Magnus Torsberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 21st minute, Stora Höga IK's Edvin Ekman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Reine Kilström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Ove Tholsson having to interfere. If Mark Åkerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Sala defense, Ingvar Billing kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl-Magnus Torsberg. The Sala fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl-Magnus Torsberg should have stopped the shot. Karl-Magnus Torsberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingvar Billing in the 45th minute of play.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mark Åkerberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Valter Rolfsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Jan-Ove Tholsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Stora Höga IK's Jan-Ove Tholsson got control of the ball when Reine Kilström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Karl-Magnus Torsberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingvar Billing in the 60th minute of play. Reine Kilström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Ove Tholsson having to interfere. Valter Rolfsson's late challenge caught a Stora Höga IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valter Rolfsson helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Sala getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Valter Rolfsson hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the match, Stora Höga IK's goalkeeper Jan-Ove Tholsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reine Kilström. Ingvar Billing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Karl-Magnus Torsberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edvin Ekman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Reine Kilström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan-Ove Tholsson having to make a save. Sala were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Stora Höga IK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Per-Åke Wennerberg took the corner. Sala's Per-Åke Wennerberg was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jan-Ove Tholsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sala players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Stora Höga IK.
