A collision led to Granö IF getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Patric Gregersson hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Granö IF's zone, Jonny Nordin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joakim Asserlindh came out of the goal and Jonny Nordin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Granö IF's Joakim Asserlindh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonny Nordin in the 19th minute of play. Joakim Asserlindh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonny Nordin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Vase made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Kristoffer Bergdal sent off a good shot on target. After 22 played minutes Suffix If got a freekick which was hit by Jens-Åke Mattsson. Jonny Nordin might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joakim Asserlindh. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommy Möllgren in the 37th minute of play forced Granö IF's goalkeeper Joakim Asserlindh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan Vase made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from August Ennegren in the 43rd minute of play. In the 47th minute, Jens-Åke Mattsson made a precise shot to the right of Joakim Asserlindh. Granö IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The Granö IF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Suffix If were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell August Ennegren to make the kick off. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Granö IF's goalkeeper Joakim Asserlindh, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 56th minute, Jonny Nordin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Suffix If fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Kristoffer Bergdal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. Petter Åman charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Petter Åman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jonny Nordin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Joakim Asserlindh when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 94 minutes, Kristoffer Bergdal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Granö IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kristoffer Bergdal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Suffix If could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Granö IF throughout the match.
