After 37 played minutes, Vintrosa's Sven Clementsson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adrian Flink came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vintrosa reached it. Joakim Söderqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Flink having to interfere. When Tomas Strömberg fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vintrosa's protests and gave Tomas Strömberg a yellow card for diving instead. 46 minutes in the game, Rickard Finsberg fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Dag Överman having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henric Sundén to make the kick off. Wictor Benett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dag Överman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joakim Söderqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Adrian Flink tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Vintrosa eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
