The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Stavsnäs RK's Johannes Josefsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Markus Gunnarsson in the 3rd minute of play. Matthias Fagrell scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan-Erik Pettersson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 13 minutes, Marcus Henriksson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Romelanda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcus Henriksson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Markus Gunnarsson in the 15th minute of play forced Stavsnäs RK's goalkeeper Johannes Josefsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcus Henriksson got in the 17th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Johannes Josefsson handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Marcus Henriksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Johannes Josefsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Romelanda's Hans Vik got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After 34 played minutes, Stavsnäs RK's Ulf Hammarberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jan-Erik Pettersson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Markus Gunnarsson couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Markus Gunnarsson made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Stavsnäs RK's goal looked a bit too open when Markus Gunnarsson came free, but Johannes Josefsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Stavsnäs RK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sven-Ove Engström was slow to take the kick. During this time Romelanda's players had a chance to rest. Matthias Fagrell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Jan-Erik Pettersson made a huge save. Alfons Fagerberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jan-Erik Pettersson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfons Fagerberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Jan-Erik Pettersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfons Fagerberg in the 64th minute of the match. When Hampus Ahlström fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Romelanda's protests and gave Hampus Ahlström a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Romelanda's Hampus Ahlström got a free kick in the 66th minute. If Alfons Fagerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stavsnäs RK's goalkeeper Johannes Josefsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Romelanda's Jan-Erik Pettersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfons Fagerberg in the 71st minute of play. In the 74th minute, Marcus Henriksson made a precise shot to the right of Johannes Josefsson. Stavsnäs RK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Alfons Fagerberg scored 3-2 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan-Erik Pettersson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Matthias Fagrell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Erik Pettersson having to interfere. Alfons Fagerberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Jan-Erik Pettersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Johannes Josefsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Markus Gunnarsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Stavsnäs RK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Romelanda.
