Utansjö IFK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stånga the free kick. After 5 played minutes Utansjö IFK got a freekick which was hit by Jerry Bruhn. In the 9th minute, Patrik Björkkvist made a precise shot to the right of Isac Runberg. Utansjö IFK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 12th minute, one of Stånga:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Stånga. Fredrik Lindman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pål Alströmmer having to interfere. Jan-Olof Vinström hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Fredrik Lindmans short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Pål Alströmmer to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 31 minutes into the game, Stånga's Olof Mattsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isac Runberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Isac Runberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jan-Olof Vinström went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Isac Runberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olof Mattsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lars-Erik Ahlrot to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Stånga getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Jarl Söderström hit a great ball. A hard shot 60 in the game by Olof Mattsson from a close distance when the talented Isac Runberg managed to make a qualified save. Utansjö IFK's players were relieved. When Utansjö IFK's Lars-Erik Ahlrot in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpected shot in the 70th minute by Mårten Fanström got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Olof Mattsson came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Stånga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olof Mattsson couldn't finish the play. Karl-Magnus Koch kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Karl-Magnus Koch took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isac Runberg. Isac Runberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. During the 84th minute of the match Georg Ljungberg completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Georg Ljungberg a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Isac Runberg made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Olof Mattsson sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Stånga getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Sven Söderqvist hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Stånga eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
