Valentin Stenkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Billy Waller took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fritz Kihlberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Mölndal booed when Överum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Lundgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Staffan Wahlnäs didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valentin Stenkvist went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Wictor Hedvall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Staffan Wahlnäs having to interfere. After having played for 27 minutes, Mats Andreasson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mölndal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mats Andreasson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mölndal's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
