Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Freddie Pedersson took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 8 minutes, Pär Göransson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IFK Örby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pär Göransson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Örnsköldsvik's Karl Ålberg got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pär Göransson kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Örnsköldsvik's Fred Linquist threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Harald Hansson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. IFK Örby's Fred Linquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harald Hansson in the 18th minute of play. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind IFK Örby's goalkeeper Fred Linquist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 22 played minutes IFK Örby got a freekick which was hit by Freddie Pedersson. In the 24th minute, Harald Hansson fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Harald Hansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Pär Göransson fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored IFK Örby's protests and gave Pär Göransson a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Örnsköldsvik booed when IFK Örby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pär Göransson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fred Linquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harald Hansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. If Harald Hansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 41 minutes into the match, Örnsköldsvik's Harald Hansson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fred Linquist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Karl Ålbergs short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Fred Linquist to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jens-Ove Klack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddie Pedersson in the 46th minute of play. Freddie Pedersson struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Jens-Ove Klack didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for IFK Örby. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

51 minutes into the match, Harald Hansson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fred Linquist. IFK Örby's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Harald Hansson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When Karl Ålberg came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Örnsköldsvik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl Ålberg couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in IFK Örby's zone, Harald Hansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fred Linquist came out of the goal and Harald Hansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harald Hansson in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fred Linquist saved IFK Örby from getting behind. Karl Ålberg struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Fred Linquist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Örnsköldsvik. Fred Linquist came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Örnsköldsvik's Harald Hansson. But to his dismay, Harald Hansson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After having played for 79 minutes, Karl Ålberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Örnsköldsvik's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl Ålberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harald Hansson in the 81st minute of play forced IFK Örby's goalkeeper Fred Linquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fred Linquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harald Hansson in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Vilgot Berglund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 88 minutes into the game, Örnsköldsvik's Karl Ålberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fred Linquist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Örnsköldsvik fully deserved thier win.
